He has finally come, the one that will bring the final word.
Who was the prophet? He is a person who on his birthday the fire that was ablazed for over 2000 years, suddenly turned off. What does this mean? This means, Oh those who worship fire, it is time to turn everything off because the savior of man is here. The real light of guidance has come. Every sultan and king that had granted themselves great stature and was sitting on his high throne fell and lost all power they had. Rivers dried up and great mountains fell. It was the beginning of a revolution...
It all began at the time of Abdul Muttalib, the Prophet's grandfather, who was incharge of the Kaba, and the leader of the Hashimite tribe. He had no children...An arab came to him and on day and said “Oh guardian of Kaba. If you deserved any respect from any of us, Allah would have given you some children so that your line could continue.” This greatly upset Abdul Muttalib.
If Allah grants you w/ something, you should not go and try and show it off. Othewise Allah will take it from you as well. He made a nazr next to the Kaba, that if allah gives him 10 sons, he will do like Ebrahim and sacrifice one for Allah in the land of Mina. Allah gave him 10 sons from six wives. One day he was sitting w/ his children and his wives. He told his wives remember we were sitting together one day w/ no children. They said yes. He said I made a nazr next to the Kaba that on one of those days I would sacrifice one, so now who is ready to give a child for me to sacrifice. He said it twice, thrice and nobody answered. Can you blame them? So he put all names in a basket and randomly picked one, whoevers name comes out, that’s the one he would sacrifice.
It's not too hard to guess whose name would come out? From his ten sons, there was one who was the most handsome, smart, agile, one that Abdul Muttablib loved the most, and that was Abdullah. When he picked a name it was Abdullah's name that came out, who was also the youngest of the ten brothers. They were leaving for the sacrifice and Abdullah's mom was shouting, yelling, don't take my son, don't take my son...An onlooker came by and saw the lady's frustration and begged Abdul Muttalib to draw names one more time... Abdul Muttalib (since he also really wanted to do it again) agreed.
Yet again Abdullah’s name came out of the draw. The wise onlooker the said, okay, don't draw names between your children, but between Abdullah and 10 camels. And so they did and Abdullah came again. Next the man suggested to do it with Abdullah and 20 camels. Again Abdullah. Now do it between him and 90 camels. Again Abdullah. Now one more time, do it b/w Abdullah and 100 camels. So they do it AND now 100 camels came. So the “fedyeh” to keep Abdullah alive was 100 camels.
Abdullah was returned to his family and spared, and from him came Khatamul Anbiya Muhammad Mustafa (SAW).
