Mahdi was born in 1345 (Persian calendar) in the village of Abbasabad.  He was about four years old when he moved to Lahijan and about seven years old when he began school.  To help his family, Mahdi, would work as a construction man during the summers and would always invite his friends to keep themselves busy instead of sitting around doing nothing.  He always believed in making use of every minute of his life for he never knew when it would end...

For his love for Allah (SWT) and staying in His path, Mahdi was able to turn his back to this world and at a very young age obtain the honour of becoming shaheed.  But it is sad to say that nowadays people do not pay much attention to the shaheed anymore...

Quote from Shahid Mahdi's will:

Your true identity in society should be given to you by Velayate Faghih.  You should follow his every command and don't try to take the easy way out.  Oh my father, I thank you very much, and I want you to stand in such a way that a mountain would shake by taking one look at you!

Message to us from the families of the Shohada:

It must be very hard to live life by losing a loved one.  The one message that all shaheed's family have to those who recognize the great sacrifice is that we should never do anything to "embarass" our shohada.  Never do anything that would make anybody think low or bad of them.  They went for us, they went so that we have the chance of saying Hussain, Hussain, today!

A Message to our readers:

Let's go learn how to be honorable from our shohada.  These people gave everything they had, everything they could ever gain from this world, to make a stance, to have their voices be heard, to prove a point...to give us a chance!  Let's go learn how to be sincere in all of our deeds so as not to expect anything in return, be prepared to give away this world to give OUR future a chance, even if it meant our name was forgotten in history.  How many shohada do we have whose names have been lost in the pages of history, yet if they were alive today and they knew of this consequence, they would not have changed anything!  Let's learn how to stand in regular prayers in the darkness of night, let's learn how to take every step for Allah (SWT) in the Sun's light... Let's learn how to respect our elders from the shohada...

LET'S LEARN HOW TO LIVE LIFE FROM THE SHOHADA!!!

It's sad to say...

It grieves me to say that nowadays there is much less talk about the shaheed.  Nowadays the only place a shaheed is remembered is in their own home, by their own family members.  So let's remember them in our daily lives, after all, their life is indeed giving us a chance.  Let's make sure their stance does not go in vain, let's spread their message, pray for them, their families, all those they have left behind, because surely it is the torbat of these shaheed that will call out to save us on the day of judgement...
